CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 03-033 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING A REVISED HOUSING ELEMENT <br /> OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, California State Law requires all cities to update their Housing Elements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Housing and Community Development has reviewed <br /> and approved the Housing Element; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received the Planning Commission's recommendations for <br /> approval of the proposed Housing Element; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has also received the report and recommendations of the Housing <br /> Element Update Task Force and Housing Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 2003, City Council adopted a Negative Declaration for the Revised <br /> Draft Housing Element; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 2003, Council held a duly noticed public hearing on the Revised Draft <br /> Housing Element; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and the <br /> recommendations of staff, the Task Force, Housing Commission, and Planning <br /> Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Revised Draft Housing Element is consistent with <br /> the goals and policies of the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Housing Element, as adopted in August 6, 1996 as pan of the City's General <br /> Plan and as amended thereafter, is hereby repealed in its entirety. <br /> <br />Section 2: A revised Housing Element of the General Plan dated March 2003 is adopted and <br /> is on file with the Planning Department of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> <br />
