CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 03-026 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF CLAIMS WITH THE <br />METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR <br />ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS, <br />AND WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION <br />IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY FOR MEASURE B FUNDS FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2003/04 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended, (Public Utilities Code <br />Section 99200, et. seq.), provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local <br />Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for <br />the purpose of community transit services of Pleasanton residents; and <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended, and pursuant to the applicable <br />rules and regulations hereunder (21 California Administrative Code, Sections <br />6600, et. seq.), a propsective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the <br />Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation <br />Commission (MTC); and <br /> <br />Alameda County Measure B provides for the distribution of funds from local <br />dedicated sales tax to provide special transportation for seniors and persons with <br />disabilities; and <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of Measure B, a prospective claimant wishing to receive <br />an allocation from Alameda County shall file its claim with the Alameda County <br />Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA); and <br /> <br />the claims propose to continue a current program utilizing existing equipment, <br />manpower, and routes, and proposes minor additional services and is, therefore, <br />considered exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality <br />Act; and <br /> <br />TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County and Measure <br />B funds will be required by a claimant in Fiscal Year 2003/04 for community <br />transit services. <br /> <br /> <br />
