She thanked the City Manager and department heads for voluntarily contributing <br /> to a portion of their benefits and supported the request for televised budget workshops <br /> regarding union contracts. <br /> 9. Continued to February 15, 2011 — Introduction of a resolution amending the <br /> Management and Confidential Employee Compensation and Benefit Plan to require <br /> department heads, management and confidential employees to contribute to CaIPERS <br /> pension costs <br /> Vice Mayor Cook - Kallio opened the item for public comment. <br /> Bart Hughes commended management staff for stepping up and leading by example. He asked <br /> that union members prove to the public that they are willing to sacrifice for the benefit of the <br /> community and that they are the caring and concerned work force management speaks so <br /> highly of. <br /> 10. Continued to February 15, 2011 — Public Hearing: PAP -149, David & Stephanie Persin <br /> (PADR -2090, Rodney & Trina Lopez), Appeal of the Planning Commission decision <br /> approving an Administrative Design Review to construct an approximately 80 sq. ft. single - <br /> story addition and an approximately 1,038 sq. ft. second story addition to the existing <br /> residence located at 6114 Homer Court <br /> Vice Mayor Cook - Kallio opened the public hearing. By unanimous vote the public hearing was <br /> continued to February 15, 2011. <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Vice Mayor Cook - Kallio stated she received a number of emails from citizens inquiring about the <br /> status of Kottinger Place and Pleasanton Gardens. She requested a briefing from staff on the <br /> progress of the task force and on when the matter might come back before the Council. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS: None <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m., with a tribute to our <br /> nation's men and women serving in the military.
