RESOLUTION NO. 11- <br /> A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE MANAGEMENT AND <br /> CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PLAN TO REQUIRE <br /> EMPLOYEES TO CONTRIBUTE 4% TOWARDS EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER <br /> CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT <br /> SYSTEM <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager appoints department heads, middle- management and <br /> confidential employees; and <br /> WHEREAS, this group of employees are covered by the Management and Confidential <br /> Employee Compensation and Benefits Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY: <br /> Authorize the City Manager to amend the Management and Confidential Employee <br /> Compensation and Benefits Plan dated August 2010 to require employees to contribute 4% <br /> towards the Employer Paid Member Contribution of the California Public Employees Retirement <br /> System. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on __, 2011 <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 2011, by <br /> the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Jonathan Lowell, City Attorney <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
