PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-75 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND CHAPTER 18.84 OF THE PLEASANTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-16 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend Chapter 18.84 (Site, Yard, <br />Bulk, Usable Open Space, and Landscaping Regulations), of Title 18 (Zoning), of <br />the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow attached porches in residential districts to <br />come to within 12 feet of the front yard property line; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of November 25, 2002 the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City <br />staff concerning the amendment to the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from Section 15304 of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), therefore, no environmental document was <br />prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment provides <br />Pleasanton residents wider design options while maintaining the open and <br />welcoming neighborhood character. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-16, the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />amend Chapter 18.84 (Site, Yard, Bulk, Usable Open Space, and Landscaping <br />Regulations), of Title 18 (Zoning), of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow <br />attached porches in residential districts to come to within 12 feet of the front yazd <br />property line, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case <br />by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
