Chapter 20.55 <br /> SWIMMING POOL, SPA AND HOT TUB CODE <br /> Sections: <br /> 20.55.010 Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code adopted <br /> 20.55.020 Part I (Administration) Article 1.11 amended - Cost of permit. <br /> 20.55.010 Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code adopted <br /> A. There is adopted by reference that certain code known as the Uniform Swimming <br /> Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code, more particularly described in this section, except <br /> such portions as are amended, modified or deleted in this chapter, and the same is <br /> adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this chapter. <br /> B. Said code is the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code, 2009 Edition, <br /> prepared by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, one <br /> copy of which is on file with the Building and Safety Division for use by the public. <br /> C. These regulations shall be known as the Pleasanton Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot <br /> Tub Code, hereinafter referred to as "this code." <br /> D. Where there is a reference in the code to the "building official" it shall mean the <br /> "Building and Safety Official," or in the absence of the Building and Safety Official, <br /> the interim, temporary or acting Building and Safety Official. (Ord. 1869 § 15, 2002; <br /> Ord. 1778 § 12, 1999; Ord. 1561 § 14, 1992) <br /> 20.55.020 Part I (Administration) Article 1.11 amended - Cost of permit. <br /> Part I (Administration) Article 1.11 of the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub <br /> Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> 1.11 Cost of Permit. <br /> A. Every applicant for a permit to install, alter or repair a swimming pool, spa or hot tub <br /> system or part thereof, shall state in writing on the application form provided for that <br /> purpose, the character of work proposed to be done and the amount and kind in <br /> connection therewith, together with such information pertinent thereto as may be <br /> required. Such applicant shall pay for each permit, at the time of making application, <br /> a fee as set forth in the Municipal Code Fees and Charges Table (on file in the office <br /> of the city clerk). <br /> B. Any person who shall commence any swimming pool, spa or hot tub work for which <br /> a permit is required by this Code without having obtained a permit therefor shall, if <br /> subsequently permitted to obtain a permit, pay double the permit fee fixed by the <br /> section for such work; provided, however, that this provision shall not apply to <br /> emergency work when it shall be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the <br /> Administrative Authority that such work was urgently necessary and that it was not <br /> 91 <br />
