CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1194 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-5.38(f) OF ARTICLE 3, <br /> CHAPTER 2, TITLE II OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON TO REDUCE SIDEYARD REQUIREMENTS IN <br /> SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 2-5.38(f) (Side and Rear Yards: Requirements <br /> and Exceptions) of Article 3 (Site, Yard, Bulk, Usable <br /> Open Space and Screening and Landscaping Regulations), <br /> Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br /> Pleasanton is hereby amended by adding the following to <br /> Section 2-5.38(f) to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "In the R-1-6500 and R-1-7500 Districts, fences, <br /> walls and hedges not over 6 ft. in height may be <br /> located to within 5 ft. of the side property line <br /> on the street side of a corner lot between the rear <br /> property line and a point setback 15 feet from the <br /> front corner of the residence closest to the side <br /> street." <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times" a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on April 16, 1985. <br /> <br /> <br />
