PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-36
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF THE 2001 BASELINE
TRAFFIC REPORT
WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 12, 2002, the Planning Commission reviewed the
findings summazized in the 2001 Baseline Traffic Report concerning
existing and future traffic conditions throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, at that duly noticed public hearing, the Planning Commission considered
all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City
staff concerning the 2001 Baseline Traffic Report; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. Recommends that the City Council adopt the 2001 Baseline Traffic Report
with the following considerations:
1. The mitigation plans in the report should be reviewed on a case-by-
case basis, as the Planning Commission does not endorse all of the
mitigation plans.
2. That pedestrian and bicycle travel should be considered on an equal
level as the interests in moving motorized vehicles through
intersections.
3. The roadway network assumed in the General Plan Buildout scenario
should be reviewed in light of funding constraints, environmental
impacts, and other alternative roadway network plans.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
