PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-34 <br />RESOLUTION DENYING CASE PAP-30, THE APPEAL OF THE ZONING <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S APPROVAL OF CASE PADR-551, THE <br />APPLICATION OF JULIE ENGEL AND BRIAN SEVERN <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator approved the application of Julie Engel and <br />Brian Severn for administrative design review to construct an <br />approximately 1,011-square-foot, first- and second-floor addition to the <br />existing single-story home located at 4464 Sierrawood Lane; and <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, a neighbor <br />filed an appeal of the Zoning Administrator's decision; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public heazing of June 12, 2002, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature aze categorically exempt from the requirements of <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed addition, as <br />conditioned, would not result in negative impacts to the privacy of the <br />neighbors behind this addition and the proposal has been designed to be <br />consistent with the chazacter of the existing neighborhood in both its <br />azchitectural style and massing. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Denies Case PAP-30, thereby approving Case PADR-551, the application <br />of Julie Engel and Brian Severn for administrative design review to <br />construct an approximately 1,011-square-foot, first- and second-floor <br />addition to the existing single-story home located at 4464 Sierrawood <br />Lane, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and <br />made part of this case by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective I S days after its passage and <br />adoption unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
