PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-33 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO <br />ALLOW 42-INCH TALL FENCES IN RESIDENTIAL FRONT AND STREET SIDE <br />YARD AREAS, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-14 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to allow 42-inch tall fences in <br />residential front and street side yard azeas by amending Chapter 18.84 (Site, Yazd, <br />Bulk, Usable Open Space, and Landscaping Regulations) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 22, 2002, the Planning Commission recommended approval <br />of the Negative Declaration prepared for the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of May 22, 2002 the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City <br />staff concerning the amendment to the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the amendment to the City of Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code would provide greater flexibility to Pleasanton homeowners <br />regazding their front and street side yazd fencing, while maintaining the open, <br />residential character of Pleasanton's neighborhoods. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section I. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-14, the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />allow 42-inch tall fences in residential front and street side yard azeas by <br />amending Chapter 18.84 (Site, Yard, Bulk, Usable Open Space, and Landscaping <br />Regulations) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as shown on <br />Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
