PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-33 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW 42-INCH TALL FENCES IN RESIDENTIAL FRONT AND STREET SIDE YARD AREAS, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-14 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to allow 42-inch tall fences in residential front and street side yard azeas by amending Chapter 18.84 (Site, Yazd, Bulk, Usable Open Space, and Landscaping Regulations) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 22, 2002, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for the proposal; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of May 22, 2002 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning the amendment to the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the amendment to the City of Pleasanton Municipal Code would provide greater flexibility to Pleasanton homeowners regazding their front and street side yazd fencing, while maintaining the open, residential character of Pleasanton's neighborhoods. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section I. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-14, the application of the City of Pleasanton to allow 42-inch tall fences in residential front and street side yard azeas by amending Chapter 18.84 (Site, Yard, Bulk, Usable Open Space, and Landscaping Regulations) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
