Proposed screening and weather protection <br />devices shall be reviewed for conformity to these requirements and <br />approved by the Planning Director prior to issuance of a building permit. <br />Green Building <br />36. The project developer shall use its best efforts to implement the measures <br />identified in the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC), "Leadership in <br />Energy and Environmental Design (LEEDTM)" 2.0 rating system in the <br />design, construction, and operation of the proposed building, including all <br />future tenant improvements. Before issuance of a building permit, the <br />LEEDTM measures incorporated in Exhibit A, dated "Received April 12, <br />2002" and approved by the Planning Commission shall be shown on the <br />building permit plan set and shall be subject to the review of the Planning <br />Director. <br />37. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, a detailed scoring of the building <br />using the U.S. Green Council's LEEDTM 2.0 Rating System shall be <br />submitted to the Planning Director for review and approval. The final <br />LEEDTM scorecard, along with any additional measures approved for use in <br />the building, shall be forwarded to the Planning Commission for its <br />information. The applicants' architect is encouraged to attend the City's <br />next LEEDTM Green Building Workshop for commercial buildings and <br />shall work with Planning Department staff to incorporate green building <br />measures to the extent feasible into the project. <br />Other General Planning Conditions <br />38. All demolition activities and all construction activities shall be limited to <br />the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday unless City <br />staff receives anoise-related complaint about the demolition construction <br />activities occurring from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. or on Saturday, in which <br />case all demolition activities and construction activities shall be limited to <br />the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. No <br />construction shall be permitted on Federal Holidays. All construction <br />equipment must meet DMV noise standards and shall be equipped with <br />muffling devices. <br />39. There shall be no truck deliveries, parking lot sweeping, or garbage pick-up <br />between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. <br />PCUP-46/PDR-182 <br />Page 7 <br />
