Green Building <br />24. The project developer is encouraged to utilize "Green Building" practices in <br />constructing the new office on this site. The project developer shall use its <br />best efforts to implement the measures identified in the Alameda County <br />Waste Management Authority's New Home Construction Green Building <br />Guidelines in the design, construction, and operation of the office. Before <br />issuance of building permits, the project developer shall submit to City staff <br />the green building provisions that would be incorporated into the proposed <br />project's construction. The project developer shall then meet with City staff <br />to review these provisions. If, following this review, it appears that there are <br />other feasible and mutually agreeable green building measures that can be <br />incorporated into the project, the project developer shall modify the project <br />accordingly. Before issuance of a building permit, the green building <br />measures shall be explicitly called out on a separate sheet of the building <br />permit plan set and shall be subject to review by the Planning Director. <br />Other <br />25. All demolition activities and all construction activities shall be limited to the <br />hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. No construction <br />shall be permitted on Federal Holidays. All construction equipment must <br />meet DMV noise standards and shall be equipped with muffling devices. <br />26. There shall be no truck deliveries, parking lot sweeping, or garbage pick-up <br />between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. <br />27. At no time shall campers, trailers, motor homes, or any other vehicle be used <br />as living or sleeping quarters on the construction site. All such vehicles <br />shall be removed from the site at the end of each workday. <br />28. If signing for the development is desired, a comprehensive signing program <br />shall be submitted to the Planning Director for consideration under separate <br />application. <br />29. Final inspection by the Planning Department is required prior to occupancy. <br />30. If archeological materials are uncovered during grading, trenching, or other <br />on-site excavation, all work on site shall be stopped and the City <br />immediately notified. The county coroner and the Native American <br />Heritage Commission shall also be notified and procedures followed as <br />PDR-121 <br />Page 5 <br />
