Councilmember McGovern suggested this as <br /> something needing revision. <br /> Councilmember Sullivan said due to the changing technology he thinks with new technology in <br /> place there will be a lot more towers and requests from companies, and supported review and <br /> update and to looking at what other cities have done. <br /> Councilmember McGovern questioned and confirmed with Mr. Dolan that the subject could be <br /> agendized for the Planning Commission for consideration. Mr. Dolan added that there has been <br /> a lot of litigation and regulation regarding cell phone towers, and discussed the differences <br /> between Walnut Creek's and Pleasanton's current regulations. <br /> Mr. Fialho supported review of the existing ordinance and said there are many new federal <br /> regulations that pre -empt local government. He suggested building it into the work plan for the <br /> coming year. <br /> Councilmember Cook- Kallio questioned the case of someone wanting to install a wind turbine <br /> on top of their house. Mr. Dolan said wind turbines are currently a prohibited residential use in <br /> residential districts. <br /> Councilmember Sullivan asked to follow -up on Mr. Norman's request, and asked if any <br /> Councilmember was interested in doing something more pro- active for opposing wars, such as <br /> passing a resolution. There was no interest voiced of Councilmembers. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS - None <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:16 p.m., with a tribute to our <br /> nation's men and women serving in the military.
