20.10.060 CRC Section R308.7 added — Shower Enclosures. <br /> Section R308 is amended by adding section R308.7 to read as shown in section 2410 <br /> of the Pleasanton Building Code (PMC Chapter 20.08). <br /> 20.10.070 CRC Section R313 amended— Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems <br /> Section R313 is deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: <br /> R313.1 Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems. An automatic residential fire sprinkler <br /> system shall be designed and installed in accordance with NFPA 13D in all new one - <br /> and two- family dwellings and townhouses. In addition, the fire - sprinkler system shall <br /> be designed and sprinklers shall be installed in the following locations: <br /> 1. Attic shall be provided with intermediate temperature -rated residential fire <br /> sprinklers for detection coverage, and located at a spacing equivalent to 30 feet <br /> by 30 feet centers and a maximum distance of 15 feet from outside walls. <br /> 2. Fire sprinklers shall be provided in garages. Fire sprinklers shall be intermediate <br /> rated, quick response type, with a maximum coverage area of 130 square feet <br /> per sprinkler. <br /> R313.2 Large One- and Two - Family Dwelling Residential Sprinkler Systems. In <br /> addition to the requirements specified in R313.1, one- and two- family dwellings with a <br /> habitable floor area greater than 7,500 square feet shall have an automatic fire - sprinkler <br /> system designed to include all sprinklers within a compartment, up to a maximum of <br /> four sprinklers. <br /> 20.10.080 CRC Section R314.3.2 added — Smoke Alarm Installation at Time of <br /> Sale or Transfer. <br /> Section R314.3 is amended by adding Section R314.3.2 to read as follows: <br /> R314.3.2 Installation at time of resale or transfer. No one- or two- family dwelling <br /> may be sold or traded in the City of Pleasanton unless and until the seller installs or <br /> provides for the installation of smoke alarms in accordance with Section R314.3. This <br /> requirement may be met by the seller placing in an escrow account, for the use of the <br /> buyer, sufficient funds to pay for said installation. <br /> 20.10.090 CRC Section R329 added - Installation of Spark Arrestors <br /> Chapter 3 is amended by adding Section R329 Installation of Spark Arrestors to read as <br /> follows: <br /> R329 Installation of Spark Arrestors.
