ATTACHMENT 13 <br /> Tier 1 Residential Required Measures <br /> PLANNING AND DESIGN <br /> • A plan must be developed and implemented to manage storm water drainage during construction. 4.106.2, <br /> PMC 9.14 <br /> • The site shall be planned and developed to keep surface water away from buildings. Construction plans shall <br /> indicate how site grading or a drainage system will manage surface water flows. 4.106.3 <br /> • Topsoil shall be protected or saved for reuse. Displaced topsoil shall be stockpiled for reuse in a designated <br /> area and covered or protected from erosion. A4.106.2.3 <br /> • The post-construction landscape design shall limit turf areas to not more than 50 percent of the total <br /> landscaping. A4.106.3 <br /> • Permeable paving must be utilized for not less than 20 percent of the total parking, walking or patio surfaces. <br /> A4.106.4 <br /> • Roofing materials shall have a minimum 3 -year aged solar reflectance and thermal emittance or a minimum <br /> Reflectance Index (SRI) equal to or greater than the values specified in Tables A4.106.5(1). A4.106.5 <br /> ENERGY EFFICIENCY <br /> • New residential buildings shall exceed the California Energy Code requirements by 15 percent, based on the <br /> 2008 California Energy Efficiency Standards. 4.201.1 <br /> WATER EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION <br /> • Indoor water use shall be reduced using one of the following methods (effective 07/01/2011). 4.303.1 <br /> o Water saving fixtures or flow restrictors shall be used. <br /> o A 20 percent reduction in baseline water use shall be demonstrated. <br /> • Plumbing fixtures and fittings shall comply with the following maximum flow rates (effective 07/01/2011) <br /> 4.303.3, A4.303.1, 4.303.2: <br /> o Toilets s 1.28 gallons per flush <br /> o Urinals s 0.5 gallons per flush <br /> o Bathroom faucets s 1.5 gallons per minute @ 60 psi <br /> o Kitchen faucets and dishwashers s 1.5 gallons per minute at 60 psi <br /> o Showerheads s 2.0 gallons per minute @80 psi (The sum of multiple showerheads must be <br /> combined and shall not exceed maximum showerhead flow rate) <br /> • Automatic irrigation systems controllers installed at the time of final inspection shall be weather- or soil- based. <br /> 4.304.1 <br /> • Provide water efficient landscape irrigation design that does not exceed 65 percent of ETo times the <br /> landscape area. A4.304.4 <br /> MATERIAL CONSERVATION AND RESOURCE EFFICIENCY <br /> • The foundation mix design shall utilize not less than a 20 percent reduction in cement use.
