HOUSING ELEMENT UPDATE TASK FORCE REVISED DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT GOALS, POLICIES,AND PROGRAMS 1/28/2002, Revised Housing Variety, Type, and Density Goal 1: Attain a variety of housing sizes, types, densities, designs, and prices which meet the existing and projected needs of all economic segments of the community. Goa12• Fncourage residential densities capable of supporting affordable housing while taking into account the character and development pattern of the surrounding area. Note• Policies and Programs apply to all Goals within the applicable Section: Policy 1: Maintain at least 25 percent of the total housing stock at full development as multiple- family, both owner- and renter-occupied. Program 1.1: Ensure that at least 25 percent of all residential development permits aze allocated to multiple-family housing through the City's Growth Management Program as long as level-of-service standazds and other City policies are maintained.
