PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-03 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT GENERAL PLAN <br />AMENDMENTS FOR THE DOWNTOWN AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend portions of the General Plan Land Use <br />Element relating to the 'Downtown' area of Pleasanton, consisting of approximately <br />308 +/- acres, and bounded by the Arroyo Del Valle and Union Pacific Railroad <br />Corridor to the north, Third Street to the east, Bemal Avenue to the south, and <br />Pleasanton Avenue and Rose Avenue to the west; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the proposed amendments involve changing the land use designations for <br />approximately seventeen different areas in the Downtown, as set forth more <br />particularly in the attached Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission held a noticed work study session on November 28, <br />2001, and public hearing on January 9, 2002, regarding the proposed General Plan <br />amendments and considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and <br />recommendations of City staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed General Plan amendments are <br /> consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends that the City Council adopt the City of Pleasanton's application for <br />General Plan Amendments for the Downtown area, as set forth in the attached <br />Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
