UP-95-20, The Marque <br />Consideration of possible modification of or revocation of a conditional use permit for a <br />dance club and bar (The Marque) located at 4555 Hopyard Road, Suite C-19. Zoning for <br />the property is PUD-I/C-O (Planned Unit Development - Industrial/Commercial-Office) <br />District. <br /> <br />Senior Code Enforcement Officer Darrin Davis presented the staff report providing history of <br />this conditional use permit and the businesses that have operated under this use permit. He <br />provided information regarding the complaints that he received in October 2001 from the <br />neighbors in Val Vista regarding the noise problems occurring at The Marque. He reported that <br />The Marque's staff agreed to address these concerns by reducing the volume of the music and <br />keeping the doors closed, as required by the conditions of approval. He noted that in April 2002 <br />The Marque changed the format of the night club and the problems escalated. He reported on the <br />recent complaints that have been reported to the Police Department and the Police Department's <br />attempts to work with the management of the nightclub to address the concerns. <br /> <br />Sgt. Davis reviewed the correspondence that has been provided as a part of the staff report.
