She further suggested that one Commissioner be
selected as the primary representative and the other as a secondary representative, as there has
been some discussion as to the composition of the Board and whether two Park and Recreation
Commissioners should serve, rather than two Planning Commissioners.

Commissioner Sullivan volunteered to serve as the secondary representative, noting that he is
serving on the Energy Committee and they are currently meeting once a week. Commissioner
Roberts volunteered to serve as the primary representative.

Commissioner Arkin nominated Commissioner Roberts to serve as the primary
representative on the Heritage Tree Board of Appeals and Commissioner Sullivan serve as
the secondary representative. Commissioner Kameny seconded the motion.

ROLL CALL VOTE

AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:
ABSTAIN:

Commissioners Arkin, Kameny, Maas, Roberts, and Sullivan
None
None
None

The motion carried.

r-

Commissioner Arkin noted that a lot of citizens do not understand the heritage tree ordinance
and he requested that the Planning Commission's representatives continue to remind staff
regarding the need to provide education on this matter.

7.
