47. <br /> <br />All access restricting gates for this development shall be equipped with a remote control <br />mechanism to permit emergency activation from the communications console at the Po- <br />lice Department. This shall consist of direct connection hardware, radio control, or other <br />mechanism approved by the Police Department. All access gates shall be identified on <br />the plans submitted for issuance of building permits and the type of remote control <br />mechanism shall be identified. <br /> <br />48. <br /> <br />The project developer shall keep the site free of fire hazards from the start of lumber con- <br />struction until the final inspection. <br /> <br />49. <br /> <br />Prior to any construction flaming, the project developer shall provide adequate fire pro- <br />tection facilities, including, but not limited to a water supply and water flow in confor- <br />mance to the City's Fire Department Standards able to suppress a major fire. <br /> <br />50. <br /> <br />The Fire Chief and the Chief of Building and Safety shall approve the number, type, and <br />location of all private fire hydrants. <br /> <br />51. <br /> <br />All curbs located with a 7' 6" radius of a public/private fire hydrant shall be painted red, <br />unless, modified by the Fire Chief. Blue street "hydrant markers" shall be installed for all <br />fire hydrants per City of Pleasanton Standard Specifications. <br /> <br />52. <br /> <br />All driveway aisles designated as fire lanes by the Fire Chief shall be maintained in ac- <br />cordance with Articles 9 and 10 of the Uniform Fire Code, which permits towing vehicles <br />illegally parked on the fire lanes. Fire lane curbs shall be painted red with "No Parking, <br />Fire Lane, Tow Away Zone" or "No Parking, Fire Lane, Tow Away Zone" signs shall be <br />installed as required by the Vehicle Code. <br /> <br />53. <br /> <br />The Fire Chief shall issue a permit prior to any installation of a fire detection, alarm, and <br />occupant notification system. All sprinkler system water flow and control valves shall be <br />complete and serviceable prior to final inspection. Prior to the occupancy of a building <br />having a fire alarm system, the Fire Department shall test and witness the operation of the <br />fire alarm system. <br /> <br />54. <br /> <br />All portions of the building covered by this approval shall have installed and operating, <br />fire extinguishers with a minimum 2-A: 10-B:C rating. The fire extinguishers shall be lo- <br />cated within a 75 foot radius of each other. <br /> <br />55. <br /> <br />Trash enclosures which are sized to contain dumpsters with an individual capacity of 1.5 <br />cubic yards located within 5' 0" of unprotected building openings, combustible walls, or <br />combustible roof eaves shall be provided with an automatic fire sprinkler system. <br /> <br />56. <br /> <br />If hazardous materials and/or wastes are to be used or stored on premises, a hazardous <br />materials management plan shall be prepared pursuant to the City's Hazardous Materials <br />Ordinance and the Uniform Fire Code and shall be submitted to the Fire Chief at least <br /> <br />PUD-O2-1D, Final Conditions Page 7 of 12 April 1, 2003 <br /> <br /> <br />
