Councilmember Cook- Kallio questioned whether workshops are held to explain what is involved <br /> for volunteers on committees, and suggested inviting government teachers from high schools. <br /> Mr. Fialho said staff addresses questions upon request, and once appointed, staff orients them <br /> with their role as a commissioner /committee member. He said staff can work on providing <br /> outreach to the community and to youth regarding openings. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:16 p.m., with a tribute to our <br /> nation's men and women serving in the military.
