Staff from each city (Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton) and two (2) members each
from the Livermore and Pleasanton Human Services Commissions were selected to
serve on the selection committee. Of the six (6) proposals reviewed by the selection
committee, Pacific Municipal Consultants, Resource Development Associates and
Hatchuel Tabernik & Associates, Inc. were invited to participate in an interview process.
Representatives of the three firms were interviewed resulting in the nomination of
Resource Development Associates (RDA) as the panel's recommended firm for the
contract. RDA proved to be the most knowledgeable about the Tri- Valley area with a
thorough understanding of the unique challenges the human services providers face in
Eastern Alameda County. RDA's approach to community outreach and how to obtain
input from stakeholders coincided with the cities' approach. RDA was also able to
demonstrate other data sources that would be utilized in addition to the 2010 Census
data.
On November 3, 2010, the Human Services Commission indicated its support of the
panel's selection and recommendation of RDA to the City Council to approve a service
agreement to update the 2003 Human Services Needs for the Tri - Valley (Attachment 2).
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved by:
po t li t
Susan Andrade -Wax Emily Wagner Nelson Fialho
Community Services Director Finance Director City Manager
Attachments:
1.
