12 <br /> THE CITY OF ar <br /> ■ =� - "'' ° ^� CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> November 16, 2010 <br /> Parks and Community Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br /> RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATES IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,000 <br /> FOR AN UPDATE TO THE 2003 HUMAN SERVICES NEEDS <br /> ASSESSMENT FOR THE TRI- VALLEY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Resource Development Associates has been selected to conduct an update to the 2003 <br /> Human Services Needs Assessment for the Tri- Valley that will assess the current and <br /> future conditions of the Tri - Valley region's Human Services Delivery Network, identify <br /> service gaps, provide recommendations to strengthen delivery efforts and identify <br /> service priorities for federal and local grant programs. <br /> HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br /> City Council approve a service agreement with Resource Development Associates to <br /> update the 2003 Human Services Needs Assessment for the Tri - Valley. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve a service agreement with Resource Development Associates in the amount of <br /> $65,000 for an update to the 2003 Human Services Needs Assessment for the Tri - <br /> Valley (Attachment 1). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The total cost for the agreement to prepare an update to the Human Services needs <br /> Assessment is not to exceed $65,000. The cost will be shared between the cities of <br /> Pleasanton and Livermore in the amount of $32,500 each. This project is not budgeted <br /> in the Operating Budget for FY 2010 -2011; funding for this project will be made <br /> available through a transfer from the General Fund Contingency of $32,500. <br />
