ATTACHMENT 4
sTAra Agricultural Pumping Efficiency Program
fi vet.
mkt Helping California Put More
/ y
p " " 6/2/2010 v Power Through
T 7 r the Pump!
CALIFORNIA City Of Pleasanton
STATE 3333 Busch Road
UNIVERSITY, Pleasanton, CA 945660802
FRESNO
Dear Sir/Madame:
We contacted you on 8 /23 /2009 regarding your participation in the Agricultural Pumping Efficiency
Program. We again commend you on your efforts to help us increase energy efficiency in water pumping
throughout California.
The purpose of our previous letter was to inform you that one or more pump tests performed for you shows
a lower than average Overall Pumping Plant Efficiency. Note that our current databases of over 10,000
pump tests performed in the last 6 years show an average OPE of about 53% for all electric - powered
pumps (excluding submersibles that average about 39 %) and 15% for natural gas- powered pumps.. A
summary of your tests is contained on the following page(s).:
A tested OPE much below the averages is an indication that you should examine the benefits and costs of a
pump retrofit or repair. A pumping cost analysis was supplied with the report of the pump test(s). Please
call the Program if you would like this analysis explained further or if you want to discuss your options.
To help you in your decision please be aware that the Program may provide a cash incentive to help with
the cost of a retrofit or repair. The incentive is based on your annual energy use and is capped at 50% of a
project's cost. The larger your annual energy use, generally the larger your incentive. Applying for a
retrofit incentive is a very simple process. Please feel free to call the Program to learn more about our cash
incentives.
Again, we appreciate your participation in the Program. For incentive applications and additional
information, including the full Terms and Conditions of the Program and examples of how the incentive is
calculated, please log on to www.pumpefficiency.org or call us at 1- 800 - 845 -6038. The next page explains
how to participate in all facets of the Program.
Sincerely,
c
Peter Canessa
Central Coast Regional Manager
1- 805 - 547 -1130 / pcanessa@csufresno.edu
California consumers em not obligated to purchase any full fee service or other service not funded by this program.
This program is funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
Los consumidores en California no esten obligados a comprar servlcios completos o adicionales que no esten
cubiertos bap este programa.
