Public Hearing: PGPA -16, City of Pleasanton — Consider the adoption of a resolution <br />removing all references to the housing cap (Measure GG 1996, limiting the total number of <br />residential units to 29,000) from the 2005 -2025 General Plan <br />Mr. Dolan gave the staff report, stating the item is a component of the settlement agreement to <br />eliminate the housing cap from the General Plan. There are many references to it and <br />essentially Policy 24 is the main reference and component to be deleted. There are also <br />multiple references throughout the elements that make reference to it, and staff simply needs to <br />make those corrections. <br />Mayor Hosterman opened the public hearing. There were no public speakers, she closed the <br />public hearing. <br />Councilmember McGovern said when the Council updates it's Housing Element and looks at <br />growth management, there may be additional items added to the General Plan to look at the <br />areas of growth and housing, and she confirmed this would not be the final portion of that <br />discussion. <br />MOTION: It was M/S by Thorne /Cook - Kallio to adopt Resolution No. 10 -408 removing all <br />references to the housing cap (Measure GG 1996, limiting the total number of residential units <br />to 29,000) from the 2005 -2025 General Plan.
