CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1180 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (SPEED ZONES) OF TITLE V <br /> (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS) OF THE <br /> ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to state legislation periodic traffic surveys <br /> are required for use of radar for speed control and <br /> numerous City streets are now due for updated surveys; <br /> and <br />WHEREAS, in January 1985 Traffic Surveys were performed for <br /> various City streets and recommendations made by the <br /> Staff Traffic Committee establishing speed limits on <br /> those streets surveyed; <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: Article 1, Section 5-6.01 of Chapter 6 of Title V of <br /> the Ordinance Code of the City of pleasanton is amended <br /> to add the following subsection s-l: <br /> "s-1 Stanley Boulevard. On Stanley Boulevard from Main <br /> Street'to First Street the speed limit shall be 30 miles <br /> per hour." <br /> Section 2: The speed limits at the following locations shall <br /> remain the same: <br /> Stanley Boulevard (from First Street to City limits) <br /> pleasanton Avenue (from Bernal Avenue to Rose Avenue) <br /> Stoneridge Drive (from Foothill Road to Stoneridge Mall <br /> Road) <br /> Section 3: Article 2, Section 5-6.05 of Chapter 6 of Title V of <br /> the Ordinance Code of the City of pleasanton is amended <br /> to add the following subsections- <br /> "b-1 Black Avenue- On Black Avenue from Hopyard Road <br /> to Santa Rita Road the speed limit shall be 25 <br /> miles per hour. <br /> f-4 Foothill Road. On Foothill Road from Santos Ranch <br /> Road to Muirwood Drive North the speed limit shall <br /> be 45 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> <br />
