THE CITY OF <br /> =� "�L "'' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 14 <br /> pLEASANTONQ <br /> October 19, 2010 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: PGPA -16, CITY OF PLEASANTON — CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A <br /> RESOLUTION TO REMOVE ALL REFERENCES TO THE HOUSING CAP <br /> (MEASURE GG, 1996, LIMITING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF RESIDENTIAL <br /> UNITS TO 29,000) FROM THE 2005 -2025 GENERAL PLAN <br /> SUMMARY <br /> As a result of the Settlement Agreement arising from Urban Habitat v. City of Pleasanton, <br /> the City agreed to remove all references to the 29,000 unit housing cap from the City's <br /> General Plan. The City Council would do so with the adoption of the attached resolution <br /> (Attachment 1). <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br /> At its meeting of September 15 the Planning Commission voted 5 -0 recommending <br /> approval of PGPA -16. There were no speakers at the public hearing. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the City Council adopt the resolution approving PGPA -16 to eliminate <br /> references to the housing cap from the 2005 -2025 General Plan. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be no financial impact as a result of this action. <br />
