CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 03-019 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE <br />CALIFORNIA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY H.E.L.P. (HOUSING <br />ENABLED BY LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS) PROGRAM TO ESTABLISH <br />A DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR LOW AND <br />MODERATE INCOME PLEASANTON HOME BUYERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />submission of an application to the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) <br />Housing Enabled by Local Partnerships (HELP) program is required to be eligible <br />for certain funds to be used to establish a down payment assistance program in <br />Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />the Housing Element of the City's General Plan includes goals and policies <br />promofmg the enhancement of home ownership opportunities for low- and <br />moderate-income households, including seeking State and Federal assistance to <br />promote home ownership opportunities; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 1, 2003, the City Council reviewed the report of the City <br />Manager (SR:03:085) regarding the grant application for the CalHFA H.E.L.P. <br />(Housing Enabled by Local Partnerships) program to establish a down payment <br />assistance program for low and moderate income Pleasanton home buyers; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Council authorizes staffto submit a joint application with the City of Livermore to <br /> CalHFA for funding through the HELP program. <br /> <br />Section 2. Council authorizes the City Manager, or his/her designee, to sign all necessary <br /> documents on behalf of the City of Pleasanton related to the funding application. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
