CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-013 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NAMING A STREET ON THE BERNAL <br />PROPERTY "TULANCINGO BULEVAR" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this year marks the twentieth anniversary of the Tulancingo Sister City <br /> Association; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tulancingo has named one of its prominent streets "Bulevar Pleasanton" in honor <br /> of the relationship; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to commemorate this anniversary, the Sister City Association has requested that <br /> Pleasanton name a street in honor of Tulancingo, Mexico; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff recommended naming the planned street serving the park and other Bemal <br />Property civic uses located midway between Pleasanton Avenue and Valley <br />Avenue as "Bulevar Tulancingo"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council discussed the staff recommendation and in order to focus on the name of <br /> the Sister City and to avoid confusion, it determined to reverse the two words; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The planned street serving the park and other Bemal Property civic uses located <br />midway between Pleasanton Avenue and Valley Avenue shall be named <br />"Tulancingo Bulevar". <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
