MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> August 17, 2010 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br /> Sullivan led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook- Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Vice Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: Mayor Hosterman <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell advised that the Council met in Closed Session regarding Urban Habitat et <br /> al. v. City of Pleasanton; Safe Streets Pleasanton et al. v. City of Pleasanton; one anticipated <br /> litigation case, and reported that no reportable action was taken in the closed session. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS - None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular and special meeting minutes of July 20, 2010 <br /> 2. Approved the City Manager's Amendment of an existing contract with Innovative Claims <br /> Solutions, Inc. which provides third -party administration of the Workers' Compensation <br /> Program <br /> Community Development <br /> 3. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator <br /> 4. Accepted public improvements performed by Cal -Bay Construction, Inc., for the Permit <br /> Center Remodel project, CIP No. 098037; authorized filing a notice of completion and the <br /> payment of retention in the amount of $14,928.85 <br /> 5. Accepted public improvements performed by McGuire and Hester for the Marilyn Murphy <br /> Kane Trail project, CIP No. 087032; authorized filing a notice of completion, release of <br /> retention in the amount of $46,980.28 and the transfer of $152,000 to the Bernal Property <br /> Trail Reserve CIP 047021 <br /> 6. Accepted public improvements performed by Gordon N. Ball, Inc. for the Bernal Avenue <br /> Bridge and Street Widening from Vineyard Avenue to Del Valley Parkway project Nos. <br /> 995067 and 005029, and Del Valle Parkway /Nevada Street Sewer Improvement, CIP No. <br /> 902028; authorized filing a notice of completion and the payment of retention in the <br /> amount of $40,011.57 <br /> City Council Minutes Page 1 of 11 August 17, 2010 <br />
