excavation. The USA will contact local utilities and inform them that construction is <br /> about to begin in their service area. This notice allows local utilities to mark the <br /> areas where their underground facilities are located near the construction site so <br /> that they may be avoided during project construction. <br /> 10. PG &E Gas Line. Prior to construction activities within 50 feet of the PG &E gas <br /> line, the project contractor shall identify and demarcate the location of the natural <br /> gas pipeline using highly visible markers that will remain in place throughout <br /> project construction in the vicinity of the pipeline and ensure that all construction <br /> workers are aware of the location of the line. The location of the pipeline shall be <br /> noted on the site and construction plans. Further, the project contractor shall take <br /> all appropriate measures necessary to ensure that the line is not disturbed. <br /> 11. Emergency Response Plan. The project developer shall develop an emergency <br /> response plan prior to construction that will include response measures in the <br /> event that there is disturbance of any underground utilities. The plan will be <br /> subject to review and approval by the Building and Safety Division and /or City <br /> Engineer. <br /> 12. Emergency Access. The project site shall include a minimum of two points of <br /> emergency vehicle access consistent with the City of Pleasanton's Circulation <br /> Element (Policy 5, Program 5.2). The location and the design of the emergency <br /> vehicle access and gate and lock shall be subject to the review and approval of the <br /> Fire Marshal, Planning Division, and City Engineer. <br /> 13. Interior Lighting. In all buildings without residents, all interior lighting shall be <br /> turned off during non - operational evening hours, with the exception of lighting <br /> needed for security reasons. <br /> 14. Exterior Lighting. <br /> a. The project developer shall submit an exterior lighting plan for the building <br /> and site, including drawings and /or manufacturer's specification sheets <br /> showing the size and type of light fixtures proposed. All exterior lighting shall <br /> be directed downward and designed or shielded so as to not shine on <br /> neighboring properties. The lighting plan shall be subject to the review and <br /> approval by the Planning Division prior to issuance of building permits for the <br /> project. <br /> b. Energy efficient lamp technologies shall be incorporated wherever possible. <br /> Mercury vapor shall be avoided. Incandescent lights shall be avoided unless <br /> they are integrated with a control mechanism that limits their operation time. <br /> The use of such lighting shall help minimize impacts on reduced visibility of <br /> the night sky. <br /> c. All outdoor lighting shall be equipped with devices that will direct lighting away <br /> from the Arroyo Mocho and outdoor lighting within 200 feet of the centerline of <br /> Conditions of Approval /PUD -57 <br /> Appendix Conditions <br /> 10 <br />
