retained for one year following completion of construction and shall be <br /> forfeited if the tree is removed, destroyed, or disfigured. If the tree is <br /> removed, destroyed, or disfigured during construction, the applicants shall <br /> pay a fine in the amount equal to the appraised value of the subject tree. If <br /> the fine based on the appraised value of the tree(s) exceeds the bond <br /> amount, the applicants shall pay the difference between the bond and the <br /> appraised value of the subject tree(s). <br /> c. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the applicant shall: <br /> (i.) Revise the plans to show a variety of ground cover and shrub clusters <br /> on both sides of the sidewalk along Stoneridge Drive. Groundcover <br /> shall be kept to a minimum, as groundcover typically requires more <br /> water than shrubs. Turf shall not be used. The shrubs and <br /> groundcover shall include some or all of the following species: <br /> Shrubs <br /> • Acacia redolens (plant tolerates some aridity) <br /> • Ceanothus "Yankee Point" (plant tolerates some aridity) <br /> • Shrub blocks of crape myrtle (plant tolerates some aridity) <br /> Ground Cover <br /> • Hemerocallis "Stella d'oro" —Dwarf yellow Daylily (plant tolerates <br /> some aridity; requires regular water during blooming season) <br /> • Erigeron karvinskianus —Santa Barbara Daisy (plant tolerates <br /> some aridity) <br /> • Cottoneaster "Lowfast" (plant tolerates some aridity) <br /> • Rosmarinus officinalis (plant tolerates some aridity) <br /> A few additional decorative species may be used, if the species are <br /> known to tolerate some aridity. <br /> (ii.) Revise the plans to include landscaping in sandy loam stormwater <br /> filtration areas, if sandy loam filtration areas are proposed. <br /> (iii.) Revise the plans such that palm trees, if proposed, are only proposed <br /> around the outdoor pool. <br /> d. With the exception of the landscaping buffer south of the emergency <br /> generator by the Central Plant, all perimeter landscaping, including all berm <br /> landscaping and street trees shall be installed prior to the occupancy of any <br /> buildings on site. <br /> e. Installation of the landscape buffer along the eastern boundary line by <br /> Hendrick Automotive Group's site (PUD -57) may be delayed until Phase 4 <br /> of PUD construction. <br /> Conditions of Approval /PUD -68 <br /> Project- Specific Conditions 8 <br />
