Firehouse Arts Center -- Naming Opportunities and Donor Recognition Page 3 • Concession • Elevator Donor Recognition Wall Display: In or near the lobby area, a suitable area will be reserved for the display of plaques or other signage to acknowledge all major donors to the Campaign, including those involved with significant naming opportunities elsewhere in the facility. Different regions of the donor wall display will designate different levels or forms of support. The Commission will review and approve the final layout of this display. This recognition area may also include signage crediting City officials, designers and other parties that oversaw the project (or such information may be separately acknowledged via signage on the exterior of the facility). Seats in the Studio Theater: As a component of the broad -based phase of the Campaign, a program will be conducted to identify sponsors for each of the seats in the 240 -seat Studio Theater. A small engraved plaque will be affixed to each seat which will allow donors to list their name or to suggest wording that will commemorate their contribution. Wall Sponsorship (Quote Sponsors) -- Presentation of Arts - Related Quotations: Throughout the facility, there will be numerous wall locations that have prominence in the building. The decor of the facility may incorporate the inclusion of quotations (or alternately famous names or arts- related key words /phrases) on each major wall within the facility. Such quotations would be creative or inspirational, would relate to the arts in general or to a specific notable artist, and would appear in a legible font size in an appropriate area of each wall (so as not to impair other uses). The Plan may offer opportunities for donors to sponsor these wall quotations. In recognition of a donation of a specific dollar amount, a donor would discuss with PCAF the most suitable and appropriate quotation to be presented (subject to approval by PCAF and the Commission), which might be from a selected list of suggested quotations generated by PCAF, the facility designers, and City staff. Other Opportunities As the design of the building progresses, other opportunities may well present themselves (e.g. bricks and pavers). These opportunities will be explored with City staff and the City Council as appropriate. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: PCAF expects that naming opportunities will be maintained for the actual life of each room, structural element, furnishing, landscape item, or other feature. If the City needs to remove, relocate, and /or alter the feature on which a naming recognition appears, PCAF will endeavor to work with the City to attempt to relocate the name to another suitable feature or location (but this may not always be possible). If unanticipated circumstances necessitate the alteration of a naming opportunity, communication should occur between PCAF, the City, and the donor to attempt to accommodate such an alteration in an amenable manner.
