Proposal • City of Pleasanton Housing Element Update <br /> David Driskell, AICP <br /> David has twenty years of experience as project manager <br /> on large- and small -scale projects in the areas of land use <br /> planning, long -range comprehensive planning, housing, <br /> community design, and transportation. He is currently <br /> the Community Development Director for the City of <br /> Boulder. In all of his work, particular emphasis has been <br /> given to ensuring the integration of technical planning <br /> analysis with effective and meaningful community <br /> participation. David is a seasoned meeting facilitator as well as a writer and <br /> editor, with an emphasis on packaging technical information so that it is <br /> accessible to a wide audience. Notable projects include the Montclair (NJ) <br /> Affordable Housing Strategy; the Liberty (NY) Economic Action Project; <br /> Town of Moraga (CA) General Plan Update; City of Gilroy (CA) General Plan <br /> Update; Blueprint 2000 for Bay Area Housing (CA); and the country of Qatar <br /> Physical Development Plan. David is a lead member of UNESCO's Growing <br /> Up in Cities Project, and author of Creating Better Cities with Children <br /> and Youth. He has helped facilitate training programs in the Netherlands, <br /> Jordan and Canada; and has consulted on projects in Russia, Lebanon, and <br /> the Philippines. He has also taught planning courses at Cornell University, <br /> Stanford University, and U.C.
