11.36.180 <br />11.36.180 Parking vehicles in excess of 20 feet in <br />length restricted. <br />When authorized signs are in place giving notice <br />thereof, no person shall park any vehicle in excess of 20 <br />feet in length on any street or portion thereof designated <br />by resolution of the city council. (Prior code § 5 -3.47) <br />11.36.190 Parking on city property. <br />A. Whenever the city traffic engineer shall de- <br />termine that the orderly, efficient conduct of the city's <br />business requires that parking of vehicles on city streets <br />or on property owned or controlled by the city be pro- <br />hibited, limited or restricted, the city traffic engineer <br />shall have the power and authority to order signs to be <br />erected or posted or curb markings to be placed indicat- <br />ing that the parking of vehicles is thus prohibited, lim- <br />ited or restricted. <br />B. When signs or curb markings authorized by <br />the provisions of this section arc in place giving notice <br />thereof, no person shall park any vehicle contrary to the <br />directions or provisions of such signs or curb markings. <br />(Prior code § 5 -3.48) <br />11.36.200 Vehicles, including vehicles dispensing <br />food, not to obstruct streets; vehicles <br />dispensing food in park facilities <br />prohibited. <br />A. No person shall operate or park any vehicle <br />on any street or in any parking lot owned or controlled <br />by the city in such a manner as to obstruct or to interfere <br />with the free use of such street or parking lot. <br />B. No person shall operate or park any vehicle, <br />wagon or pushcart from which goods, wares, merchan- <br />dise, fruits, vegetables or foodstuffs are sold, displayed, <br />solicited or offered for sale or bartered or exchanged, or <br />any lunch wagon or eating car or vehicle, on any portion <br />of any street in such a manner as to obstruct the free use <br />of such street or to create in any manner a traffic hazard. <br />C. Notwithstanding subsection A of this sec- <br />tion, no person shall stop or park any vehicle from <br />which goods, wares, merchandise, fruits, vegetables or <br />other foodstuffs are sold, displayed, solicited or offered <br />for sale within any city park facility, such as sports park, <br />without a permit to do so from the director of parks and <br />community services. (Ord. 1697 § 3, 1996; prior code § <br />5 -3.49) <br />11.36.205 Parking vehicles in excess of Live feet in <br />height. <br />A. Whenever the city traffic engineer deter- <br />mines that parking a vehicle in excess of five feet in <br />height would constitute a traffic hazard by obstructing <br />(Plcasanion Supp. No. 3, I -10) <br />312 <br />view of oncoming traffic or pedestrian movements, the <br />city traffic engineer shall have the power and authority <br />to order signs to be erected or posted indicating that the <br />parking of vehicles in excess of five feel in height is <br />prohibited. <br />B. When signs or curb markings authorized by <br />the provisions of this section are in place giving notice <br />thereof, no person shall park any vehicle contrary to the <br />directions or provisions of such signs or curb markings. <br />(Ord. 1229 § 1, 1985; prior code § 5 -3.50) <br />11.36.210 Authority to establish limited time <br />parking zones. <br />Whenever any resolution of the city designates <br />any street or portion thereof as a limited time parking <br />zone, the city traffic engineer shall erect appropriate <br />signs, meters or markings. Such limited time parking <br />zones shall not become effective until and unless signs, <br />parking meters, or curb markings are in place indicating <br />such time limits consistent with the following regula- <br />tions: <br />A. Twenty- minute Parking. When authorized <br />signs, parking meters or curb markings are in place giv- <br />ing notice thereof, no operator of any vehicle shall park <br />the vehicle between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. <br />any day except Sundays and holidays for a period of <br />time longer than 20 minutes. <br />B. One -hour Parking. When authorized signs, <br />parking meters are in place giving notice thereof, no <br />operator of any vehicle shall park the vehicle between <br />the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except <br />Sundays and holidays for a period of time longer than <br />one hour. <br />C. Two -hour Parking. When authorized signs, <br />parking meters are in place giving notice thereof, no <br />operator of any vehicle shall park the vehicle between <br />the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except <br />Sundays and holidays for a period of time longer than <br />two hours. <br />D. Three -hour Parking. When authorized signs <br />or parking meters are in place giving notice thereof, no <br />operator of any vehicle shall park the vehicle between <br />the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except <br />Sundays and holidays for a period of time longer than <br />three hours. <br />F. Four -hour Parking. When authorized signs <br />are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall park a <br />vehicle between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. <br />of any day for a period of time longer than four hours. <br />(Ord. 1991 § 1, 2009; Ord. 1722 § 1, 1997; prior code § <br />5 -3.51) <br />
