CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1146 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEllER CONNECTION FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 5474 authorizes sewer <br /> connection fees; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Sewerage Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby <br /> amended as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Amend §2-15.01.41 in its entirety to read: <br /> <br /> "Seco 2-15.01.41. RESIDENTIAL DISCHARGE EQUIVALENT <br /> (RDE) shall mean a Sewage discharge equal in Volume <br /> and strength to the discharge from a typical Single <br /> Family Dwelling, as such discharge shall be determined <br /> from time to time by the Director. Sewage discharge, <br /> for purposes of calculating RDE, shall be comprised <br /> of Flow, BOD, and SS, and any other constituent <br /> which may be added from time to time by the Director." <br /> <br /> b. Amend §2-15.30.02(b)(2) in its entirety to read: <br /> <br /> "Sec. 2-15.30.02(b)(2) Multiple-Family Residential. <br /> Each multiple-family residential dwelling shall require <br /> 145/220 RDE of Sewage Capacity, or such other percentage <br /> of RDE as determined by the Director based on an estimate <br /> of the particular dwelling's, or class of dwellings, <br /> Sewage discharge." <br /> <br /> c. Amend §2-15.50.06(B) in its entirety to read: <br /> <br /> "B. District Connection Fees <br /> <br /> (1) Each single-family dwelling unit shall pay <br /> a connection fee of $2,400.00. <br /> <br /> (2) All other users shall be assessed a connection <br /> fee, as determined by the Director of Public <br /> Works, based on average day peak month flow, <br /> BOD, and SS to be discharged to the sewer <br /> system as follows: <br /> <br /> Peak Month Unit Cost, Dollars <br /> Flow, gallon/day $ 8.26 <br /> BOD, pound/day 868.57 <br /> SS, pound/day 485.33 " <br /> <br /> <br />
