Consideration of Recommendations regarding <br /> Plastic Bags and Foam Food Containers. <br /> SUMMARY <br /> At its May 26th meeting, the Committee received an informational report regarding <br /> single -use plastic bags and foam food containers. The Committee requested additional <br /> information regarding the environmental effects of foam food containers. The <br /> Committee also appointed a subcommittee comprised of Members McGinley, Kato and <br /> Jaeel to draft proposed alternative motions related to these issues. Subsequently, the <br /> State legislature has taken, or is considering taking, action regarding these issues. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> That the Committee receive supplemental information regarding: (a) the environmental <br /> effects of foam food containers; and (b) recent action by the State legislature. <br /> Then, the Committee consider the draft proposed motion prepared by the subcommittee <br /> regarding plastic bags and foam food containers. <br />
