THE CITY OF <br /> 6,,, m CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 4 <br /> pLE ASANTON® <br /> July 20, 2010 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE 2010 LEAGUE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The League of California Cities 2010 Annual Conference is scheduled for September <br /> 15 -17 in San Diego. An important part of this Conference is the Annual Business <br /> Meeting. At this meeting, the League membership considers and takes action on <br /> resolutions that establish League policy. In order to vote on the proposed resolutions <br /> the City Council must designate a voting delegate in advance of the conference. <br /> The current Council representative to the League of California Cities East Bay Division <br /> is Councilmember Thorne and consistent with past practice, he would serve as the <br /> voting delegate. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Designate Councilmember Thorne as the City's voting delegate for the 2010 League of <br /> California Cities Annual Conference. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact as a result of this action. <br /> S bm ed by: <br /> Nelson Fialho <br /> City Manager <br />
