CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 1142 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE V, CHAPTER 5, ARTICLE <br /> 1 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> TO REQUIRE TRUCKS MAKING LOCAL DELIVERIES TO MINIMIZE <br /> USE OF RESIDENTIAL STREETS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Title V, Chapter 5, Article 1, Section 5-4.03(A) <br /> is amended by adding a sentence at the end to read <br /> as follows; <br /> <br /> "In selecting the most feasible route for local <br /> delivery, trucks shall use arterial streets (e.g. Foot- <br /> hill Road between 1-580 and Stoneridge Drive, Stoneridge <br /> Drive, Hopyard Road, Santa Rita Road) and shall use the <br /> route which minimizes use of residential streets as <br /> defined in Vehicle Code Section 515." <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley <br /> Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br /> in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Council finds that this amendment is merely <br /> declaratory of existing law. <br /> <br />Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on April 24, 1984. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on May 8, 1984 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr and Wood <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayo ercer <br /> <br /> TEST: <br /> <br />James ~. ~alker, Cit~ Clerk <br /> George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />P~er D.
