MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> May 4, 2010 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br /> McGovern led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> Councilmember Cook Kallio reported on the recent opportunity brought forward by the State <br /> program, Focus, which promotes high school juniors meetings with State representatives in <br /> Sacramento. This area was given scholarships, allowing 2 students each from Amador High <br /> School and Irvington High School, to meet with Mary Hayashi and Ellen Corbett. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session on two items, having continued <br /> the third to the meeting of May 18 The Council declined to take action on anticipated litigation, <br /> however, an item regarding joint resolution cooperation between the cities of Livermore and <br /> Pleasanton regarding the airport will appear on a future agenda. There was not action to report <br /> concerning the Urban Habitat litigation. <br /> Mayor Hosterman thanked the City of Livermore in advance for collaborating with the City <br /> regarding the airport. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved special meeting minutes of March 22, 2010, April 6, 2010 and April 27, 2010 <br /> Community Development <br /> 2. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator <br /> 3. Approved plans and specifications, review of bids, and awarded and authorized the City <br /> Manager to execute a construction contract with Grade Tech, Inc. in the amount of <br /> $241,808 for Division Street and Railroad Avenue Street Improvements, CIP No. 098044; <br /> authorized the Director of Community Development to approve and execute change <br /> orders in an amount not to exceed $36,270 and the transfer of $284,375 from the Capital <br /> Improvement Program Reserve No. 068018 into said project <br />
