CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1137 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION CHAPTER 6 (SPEED ZONES), TITLE V (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Article 1 (Increase in State Speed Limit in Certain Zones) of Chapter 6 (Speed Zones) of Title V (Vehicles and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to add the following: "w-1 West Las Positas Boulevard. On West Las Positas Boulevard from Hopyard Road to Santa Rita Road, the speed limit shall be 40 miles per hour." Section 2: Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limit in Certain Zones) of Chapter 6 (Speed Zones) of Title V (Vehicles and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to delete subsections h-1 and h-2 and replace them with the following new subsections: "h-1 Hopyard Road. On Hopyard Road from Del Valle Parkway to Valley Avenue, the speed limit shall be 35 miles per hour. h-2 Hopyard Road. On Hopyard Road from Valley Avenue to West Las Positas Boulevard, the speed limit shall be 35 miles per hour. h-3 Hopyard Road. On Hopyard Road from West Las Positas Boulevard to Highway 1-580, the speed limit shall be 45 miles per hour." Section 3: Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limit in Certain Zones) of Chapter 6 (Speed Zones) of Title V (Vehicles and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to add the following subsection: "c-1 California Avenue. On California Avenue the speed limit shall be 25 miles per hour."
