STONERIDGE DRIVE SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT /STAPLES RANCH PROJECT <br /> MITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PLAN [May 2010] <br /> Date Completed/ <br /> Mitigation Measures/Improvement Measures Monitoring Action Responsibility'' Timing Signature <br /> surrounding uses from spillover light and glare by incorporating the Building and Safety occupancy. <br /> following guidelines and specifications into the construction documents: Division. <br /> No more that I.0 foot candles of spillover light from <br /> recreation facilities shall be allowed to fall onto existing <br /> residential properties or onto the senior continuing care <br /> community property. <br /> Lighting components shall be selected and located as <br /> necessary to complement the particular type of recreation <br /> facility that is being lit, and shall satisfy the required <br /> illumination level for the particular type of sport. <br /> Proposed athletic fields, tennis courts, or other recreation <br /> facilities located within the Staples Ranch community park <br /> or neighborhood park site shall employ lighting fixtures that <br /> have been designed and demonstrated to reduce spillover <br /> light, whether by virtue of their optics, the arrangement of <br /> "baffles" and /or their mounting heights above the field or <br /> court surface. <br /> Emphasis shall be placed on selecting lighting fixtures that <br /> roughly approximate a natural color rendition, such as Metal <br /> Halide (as opposed to High pressure Sodium). Where <br /> practical, low wattage fluorescent or incandescent bulbs <br /> may also be installed in associated service buildings, or for <br /> security or pathway lighting. <br /> During evening hours, park recreational activity lighting <br /> shall be tumed off when not necessary for recreational <br /> purposes. <br /> 4 <br />
