CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1136 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> TO PREZONE PROPERTY CONTAINED IN ANNEXATION NO. <br /> 105 (CASE RZ-84-4) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is in the process of annexing <br /> property necessary for construction of an underpass <br /> at Bernal Avenue and the Western Pacific Railroad <br /> right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is approximately 5.6 acres in <br /> size and consists of two separate parcels, one on <br /> each side of the railroad right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the major portion of the subject property is <br /> street right-of-way and does not require prezoning, <br /> however, three separate portions of the subject <br /> site will not be right-of-way and should have City <br /> zoning assigned to them; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton initiated a prezoning of <br /> approximately one acre; one parcel being the northern- <br /> most portion of Parcel B to be rezoned to the "0" <br /> (Office) District and the two portions in Parcel A <br /> to be rezoned to the "A" (Agricultural) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating <br /> no significant adverse effects on the environment, <br /> a negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br /> April 10, 1984; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council received the~Planning Commission's recommenda- <br /> tion for approval' of the prezoning; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on April 10, 1984; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this prezoning is consistent <br /> with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves the prezoning of the northernmost approximately <br /> 1/10th of Parcel B to the "0" (Office) District and <br /> prezoning of the two portions of Parcel A which will not <br /> be street right-of-way to the "A" (Agricultural) District, <br /> which land is involved in Annexation No. 105. <br /> <br /> <br />
