CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOP~IA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1127 <br /> <br /> i <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING IN ITS ENTIRETY SECTION <br /> 2-16.08 OF ITITLE II, CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE 1 OF <br /> THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT. Y OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 2-16.08 (Establishment of Credit) of <br /> Article 1 (Regulation of Water System and Water <br /> Service Fees), Chapter 9 (Water), of Title II of <br /> the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is <br /> hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "§ 2-16.08 Deposits and Guarantees. <br /> <br /> 1. The City Finance Director may require deDosits <br /> or the prepayment of charges in an amount not <br /> exceeding one year's charges either from <br /> persons receiving service or from the owners <br /> of Droperty on which or in connection with <br /> which said services are to be used. In case <br /> of nonpayment of all or Dart of a bill, said <br /> deposits or prepaid charges shall be applied <br /> only insofar as necessary to liquidate the <br /> cumulative amount of such charges DlUs Denalties <br /> and costs of collection. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Finance Director may require a <br /> guaranty by the owner of property that the <br /> bills for service to said Droperty or the <br /> occupants thereof will be Daid." <br /> <br /> Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times, <br /> a newspaper of general circulation published in the <br /> City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final DassaEe and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on February 28, 1984. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on March 13, 1984 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
