ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO MODIFY THE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT PLAN OF THE TRI- VALLEY TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, on January 3, 2006, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton adopted Ordinance Number 1929 adopting the Management District Plan and establishing the Tri- Valley Tourism Business Improvement District (TVTBID); and WHEREAS, the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994, Streets and Highways Code §36600 et seq., allows cities to modify the Management District Plan (MDP) at the request of the owners' association; and WHEREAS, the TVTBID owners' association, the Tri Valley Convention Visitors Bureau (TVCVB) has requested modification of the MDP. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby resolve, determine and find as follows: Section 1. The recitals set forth herein are true and correct. Section 2. The City Council declares its intention to modify the TVTBID MDP. Section 3. The proposed modification of the TVTBID MDP will shorten the duration of the TBID, from five years to four years and five months. The modification will cause the TVTBID to expire on July 15, 2010. Section 4. The time and place for a public hearing on modification of the TVTBID MDP are set for 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on June 15, 2010 at the Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on April 20, 2010.
