As the CVB has already received signed petitions representing 78.5% of voting
strength approval, on June 15 the Council will be requested to adopt the amended
ordinance after its second reading to renew the Tri Valley Tourism Business
Improvement District effective July 15, 2010.
The resolution assumes that the life of the renewed district will be five years after which
the five Councils will need to determine whether to again extend the term of the district
or to dissolve it. However, because the district is not issuing bonds or will have other
financial obligations, the five City Councils could agree to terminate the district before
the end of the five years.
mitte Fiscal Revi Approv by:
amela Ott ('t avid Cu er Nelson Fialho
'rector of Economic Director of Finance City Manager
Development
ATTACHMENTS
1.
