Section 9: Article 25 (Conditional Uses) of Chapter 2 (Zoning) of Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended by adding a new section to read as follows: "§2-11.20 Use Permits for Large Famil.y Day Care Homes. a. Procedure. Applications for large family day care homes shall be processed in accordance with the provisions of this section. 1. Application and Fee. Application for a large family day care home use permit shall be filed with the Zonin~ Adminis- trator in accordance with the requirements of §2-11.04 of this Article. 2. Notice. No less than 10 days Drior to the date on which the decision will be made on the application, the Zoning Administrator, or his designee, shall give notice of the proDosed use by mail to all owners shown on the last equalized assessment roll as owning real property within 100 feet of the exterior boundaries of the site of the proposed use. 3. Public Hearing. If a hearing is requested by the applicant, or other affected person, a Dublic hearing before the Zoning Administrator shall be held Drior to a decision being made. No Dublic hearing shall be held unless such a hearing is requested. b. Action of the Zoning Administrator. Upon close of the public hearing, if a hearing has been requested, or at the time set for the decision in the notice, the Zoning Administrator shall approve, approve in modified form, or deny the application. The Zoning Administrator shall grant the use permit if the proDosed large family day care home, as applied for or as conditioned, complies with the standards set forth in this section. Any action of the Zoning Administrator may be appealed to the Plannin~ Commission. c. Standards. Large family day care homes shall be required to meet the following requirements: 1. Spacing. No large family day care home shall be approved if the site of the proposed use is located within 300 feet of the exterior boundary of another larKe -3-
