CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-011 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE NAME OF THE ENERGY <br />ADVISORY GROUP, RATIFYING APPOINTMENTS, AND <br />SETTING PRIORITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on December 3, 2002, the City Council adopted the City's Energy Plan and <br />changed the status of the Energy Advisory Group (EAG) to a committee and <br />approved the addition of five new representatives to the Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 18, 2003, the City Council received the report of the <br />City Manager and Director of Public Works (SR 03:038) regarding the <br />appointments, the directions to be given to the new committee, and a change of <br />name for the committee; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br />Section 2: <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />The Energy Advisory Group (EAG) is hereby changed to the Pleasanton Energy <br />Committee (PEC). <br /> <br />Council hereby ratifies the appointment of the following five new members to the <br />PEC: Kevin Doyen, Jerry Thorne, Robert Streich, Oscar Soares, and Jill Buck. <br /> <br />In order to provide guidance to the PEC, Council has selected the following <br />priorities from the Energy Plan: <br /> <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br /> <br />Reducing Pleasanton's Energy Demand. <br />Supporting and Developing Ordinances, Policies, Porgrams and Legislation <br />Explore Financial Possibilities <br />Creating Alliances <br />Increasing and/or Improving Pleasanton's Energy Supply <br />Advocacy and Education <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
