CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOtNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1110 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE "DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT" AND PP~OVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CHARGES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES 'HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Establishment of Area. There is hereby established in the City of Pleasanton, the "Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District" pursuant to the provisions of the Parking and Business Improvement Area Law of 1979, as set forth in the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Sections 3600 et seq.). Section 2: Resolution of Intention. The City Council on November 8, 1983 adopted Resolution No. 83-496, entitled "Resolution of Intention to Establish the 'Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District'" Section 3: Hearing. A hearing was held at the City Council Chambers in the City of Pleasanton on November 22, 1983 to consider the establishment of the "Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District" and to hear any protests or concerns relating to that action. Section 4: Boundaries. a. The boundaries of the District shall be as shown on the attached mad (Exhibit A), consist- ing of the two benefit zones designated thereon as Zone A and Zone B. b. For a business located on a parcel of land which is bisected by a zone boundary, the determination of appropriate zone for that business shall be based upon the street which the main entrance faces. Unless there is specific information to the contrary, the street address shall be presumed to be the street which the main entrance faces. Section 5: Subject to State Law. The businesses in the District and operation of the District shall be subject to any amendments to the Parking and Business Improvement Area Law of 1979. -1-
