Inurarq. <br /> y Alameda County Transportation <br /> Improvement Authority <br /> 10•..0 M..F,e. <br /> Project Description: <br /> This project will construct a new <br /> partial cloverleaf interchange on <br /> the extension of Isabel Avenue <br /> (State Route 84) and I -580. This <br /> project will be built in two phases. Initially a four -lane overcrossing will be constructed. The <br /> ultimate project would widen Isabel Avenue and the I -580 overcrossing to six lanes. The project <br /> also includes removal of the Portola Avenue Interchange, construction of a new overcrossing, <br /> and extension of Portola Avenue north of I -580 to Isabel Avenue. <br /> Status: <br /> The environmental assessment has been completed and certified. Construction of Phase 1 is <br /> underway and is expected to be completed in 2012. <br /> Phasing and Schedule: <br /> The project will be constructed in 2 phases. Construction work outside Caltrans right -of -way is <br /> underway. Construction of improvements within Caltrans right -of -way is scheduled to begin in <br /> 2009.
